OVERVIEW

Over 15 years ago, Q-Tran developed a low voltage power supply system that revolutionized the installation of interior low voltage fixtures and systems.  With our Q-Scape line, we have taken that same approach to a much more challenging environment.

Outdoor lighting systems face a variety of issues including extreme heat, freezing cold,  water intrusion, UV degradation, drainage and shifting soils, to name a few.  To the outdoor lighting world, a product must be able to withstand all these elements, as well as provide a flexible power supply for changes in the future based on plant growth.

Typical run lengths are greater outdoors as well.  Using wall mounted transformers with higher taps (18-22V) to compensate for this virtually doubles your electricity usage on a system.  By using a direct burial transformer, you move the transformer much closer to the load and minimize the losses as well as installation costs.

With Q Scape, we have taken a system approach to the power infrastructure of landscape lighting that includes our highly efficient long-life toroidal transformers, enclosures, wire, connectors and fixture mounts.  This allows the designer a COMPLETE system made to stand up over time, while also offering great flexibility during installation and for years to come.
