Q-Tran moved to a new location at : 155 Hill Street, Milford CT 06460.  

We have completely re-vamped our website, www.q-tran.com, so that it is easier to navigate; and, we’ve added much needed product descriptions and some video training.  Please be patient with the videos as they need more editing, but we wanted to have something available for the launch. Additionally, we now have REVIT files done for our QT product and will have them available for our Q-VAULT in the coming months.

In 2008 Q-Tran's Q-Set/Q-Vault was recognized by the Illuming Engineering Society (IES) for it's advancement in outdoor lighting.

"The new Q-Set is an innovative cassette featuring interchangeable modules with toroidal transformers, ranging from 180 to 900 watts for low voltage halogen and eight more models for LED cassettes, that can be mounted above ground and inground, for both outdoor and indoor lighting applications. These power centers are engineered with hydraulic magnetic circuit breakers on both the primary and the secondary, with an internal auto reset thermal breaker to disconnect the primary in case of an overload or improper dimming. Each cassette features five voltage taps, allowing varying run lengths or loads off the same unit.  Shorter runs can be used with lower voltage taps, as the drop is less voltage, while fixtures located further away need to recover voltage from a higher tap.  "Green" strategies are realized with a 10-25 percent energy savings over industry standard models."
