NEW PRODUCTS!
Our Magnetic DC products are now available in the Q6 version at a very competitive price point. The 12VDC is available in 60 and 120 watt and the 24V is available in 60 and 100 watt. This product is designed as a simple replacement for short life electronic drivers. It offers high efficiency, quiet operation and a 10 year warranty. As always, chokes and secondary breakers are included. Product will be available to ship in the beginning of February, please get your orders in soon to be the first! This offers a great stocking opportunity for electrical distributors and showrooms for powering LED tape light, rope light, under cabinets, etc. Q SCHOOL UPDATEDue to the ever growing product offering we have, we will be offering a limited, but improved version of Q School for 2011. We will hold two sessions on June 9
th & 10
th and October 6
th & 7
th. They will start at noon the first day and end at 3pm the following day. The format has been extended so that we can get all the material covered in the time allotted. There is no better way to demonstrate to customers what the Q Tran Story is all about than a factory visit. Keep in mind that we are very close to multiple East Coast / New York manufacturers and feel free to tie it in with another factory visit. The class sizes will be limited so please

WEBSITERemember that we now have training videos on all products on the website. They are designed to refresh you when you are going to present one of our items, but can also be shown to a customer. Install videos will be following. All literature, cut sheets, etc are also available on line. We are adding a White Sheet / Technical section to address certain field issues that arise. In addition, we will be listing LED jobs we have done and what power supply we used for specific LED fixtures. That way we can show a specifier that we are powering these brands on jobs in the field.

Success Stories!Late last fall, Tim Gunther, from Lighting Environments, asked me to come down for a job meeting at a large Veterans’ hospital that was being built in the DC area. The construction was almost complete but the landscape architect specified LED product that could not be installed by pulling primary voltage to each fixture and needed a remote power supply solution. Additionally there was no location to mount power supplies and the only solution was to bury the LED power supplies. We were able to come in with a turnkey solution with our Q-Vault 5 and QSET-ELED plus our wire and compression fittings providing the entire power infrastructure for the six courtyards at this hospital.
Outdoor LED applications continue to be our fastest growing area of opportunity. There is no better solution than Q Tran’s Q-Vault system and we have seen very nice orders out of numerous territories when the POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM APPROACH is sold. We have cassettes for fixtures that need LV AC, LV Electronic DC and LV Magnetic DC, as well as a mounting plate for specialty drivers, DMX controllers, etc. There are opportunities beyond your own brands that can help lock up a profitable job. Typically, 50%+ of these jobs are non-transformer type items: wire, connectors, boxes, etc. 100% specifiable, 100% spec-lockable. We will detail any plan for you or your specifier and show locations, wiring configurations, correct transformer schedule, install details, etc. The more detailed the plans, the more chance of Q Tran ending up on the job and you getting a profitable order.
