Rich Sokolowski, who joined Q-Tran in 2016, is responsible for all finance-related activities including treasury, financial reporting and analysis, budgets and forecasting, cost accounting and oversight of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and HR benefit plan analysis and selection.
Rich has served in several positions at other companies; in each case he was hired when those companies were ready to transition to the next level in terms of processes, procedures, systems and financial reporting—the foundation for any company to scale efficiently.
He is proud to have brought efficiencies and data to each of his employers to save money and provide a roadmap for making better business decisions, and at Q-Tran he enjoys addressing daily challenges inherent in a fast-growing company as he continuously strives to improve profitability.
Rich has a B.S. in accounting from Central Connecticut State University and a master’s in computer science from the University of New Haven. He holds a number of professional certifications including CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), CFM (Certified Financial Manager), and CITP (Certified Information Technology Professional). He is a member of the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), CTCPA (Connecticut Society of CPAs), and the IMA (Institute of Management Accountants).
